What is an essential oil?

An essential oil is produced by steam, steam and water, or water distillation of vegetable plant matter. The vapours are condensed to yield a water condensate and an essential oil that can be separated off by gravity.

This wonderfully versatile natural product is highly beneficial both medicinally and therapeutically. Our Lavender Essential Oil is 100% pure. It contains no additives or preservatives. It is grown organically (although we are not organically certified) without pesticides, herbicides or insecticides. It is a natural substance involving no chemical process. It is carefully stored before being used in our products or sold in 10ml bottles for you to use as you wish.

Lavender oil can be used to bring relief to burns and sunburn, for a relaxing, therapeutic massage, stress release, insomnia, and headaches including migraine.
Lavender oil helps to relieve the burning inflammation of acne as it is anti-bacterial and anti-fungal.

1st the Lavender is cut using our own designed and built Harvester, which is pulled by a Siromer Tractor
The freshly cut Lavender is brought in from the Lavender fields using our 7.25" Narrow Gauge Railway.
The freshly cut Lavender is loaded into the Wolds Way Lavender Still.
Large amounts of Cooling Water are required for the Distillation process
The unique Wood Fired Distillery at Wolds Way Lavender passes steam through the Lavender releasing the Pure Essential Oil
